Arrivederci Leigh

Traveling alone has its downfalls and bennies. One downfall is not having someone to relate with on the daily. So I rolled into Positano a month ago and met Leigh and we hit if off instantly. She introduced me to many of the locals and it was great to have another American around who understood some of the joys and frustrations of being in Italy. Leigh is now off to the next leg of her trip. The night before she left a few expats and italians met up at La Tre Sorrelle to send her off….

The secret cave

There is a small, rocky cliff separating Spiagga (beach) Fornillo from Spiagga
Marinelli. I scaled the rock wall last week and stumbled upon a hidden cave that wasn’t able to be viewed from either beach. Since then, my friends and I have turned this cave into our little fortress – a place we can escape from the main beaches when they become too filled with tourists. Today, Leigh and I went up there to drink a few beers, eat paninis, and relax in the sun.
